12.22. Costs - How Paid - Taxation of

All costs and expenses shall be paid from the state treasury on order of the chairman of the Commission certified to the state commissioner of administration; provided, that if an order for the retirement, removal or discipline of any person is made, the Commission, in its discretion, may tax against such person the fees and mileage of witnesses ordered by him and the costs of serving subpoenas upon them.
