The Judicial Branch of the government of the State of Missouri is a separate and independent branch of our state government. Missouri’s judicial system was established by the people of Missouri through Article V of the Constitution of the State of Missouri. Missouri is divided into 45 separate judicial circuits. The 11th Circuit covers St. Charles County.

The judges of the Eleventh Circuit are elected by the people of St. Charles County.
The 11th Judicial Circuit (St. Charles County) is pleased to announce it is piloting the new Missouri eFiling System.
- Effective Sept. 12, 2011, select attorneys are required to file associate civil filings electronically in the 11th Judicial Circuit for new and pending cases. To help guide attorneys as to what documents should be filed electronically during the pilot, the court has adopted an order in addition to the statewide rules governing electronic filing.
- Effective Oct. 17, 2011, attorneys are required to file circuit civil filings electronically in the 11th Judicial Circuit for new and pending cases. To help guide attorneys as to what documents should be filed electronically during the pilot, the court has adopted an order in addition to the statewide rules governing electronic filing.
- Effective Nov. 1, 2011, attorneys are required to file all domestic relations case types except for orders of protection and paternity, and all associate civil filings except for small claims, electronically in the 11th Judicial Circuit for new cases and subsequent pleadings in all cases. To help guide attorneys as to what documents should be filed electronically during the pilot, the court has adopted an order in addition to the statewide rules governing electronic filing.
- Effective Dec. 5, 2011, attorneys are required to file all probate cases, excluding mental health cases, for new filings and subsequent pleadings in all cases excluding wills, bonds and receipts. Also effective this date, attorneys are required to file all criminal cases including municipal trial de novo cases, excluding traffic, infractions, watercraft and conservation cases, for subsequent pleadings in all cases. To help guide attorneys as to what documents should be filed electronically during the pilot, the court has adopted an order in addition to the statewide rules governing electronic filing.
