Judge Calea Stovall-Reid
Born
in Springfield, Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degree
from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1982. In 1990 she earned
the Juris Doctorate degree from the Washington University School of
Law. Stovall-Reid was appointed to the Associate Circuit Bench in March
2003. Prior to becoming an associate circuit judge Stovall-Reid was Corporate
Counsel to the St. Louis Housing Authority. During her law career she has
worked as a litigation associate for the law firm of Peoples and Hale
and served as an assistant circuit attorney and an assistant public defender.
Stovall-Reid currently holds a seat on the board of the Women Lawyers Association
of Greater St. Louis; and she is also a member of Mound City Bar Association and the
Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Judges. Stovall-Reid is
also a volunteer judge for the Truancy Court for the St. Louis City
Public Schools. She is married and has two daughters.
