Judge Joan Moriarty
Biography:
Born in Brookings, South Dakota. Graduated from Creighton University
School of Pharmacy in Omaha, Nebraska, B.S., pharmacy, 1982; St. Louis
University School of Law, J.D., 1985. Law clerk for the Honorable
Robert G. Dowd Sr., Missouri Court of Appeals, (Eastern District),
1985-86. Private practice, 1986-87. Served as assistant prosecuting attorney, St. Louis
County, 1987-98. Adjunct faculty member, St. Louis University School of
Law; Greater St. Louis Women's Lawyer Association; National Association
of Women Judges. Member of Catholic Church. Appointed circuit judge on
January 2, 1998. Retained in 2000. Term expires December 31, 2012.
