Judge Theresa Counts Burke
Biography: Born
October 11, 1965, in Granite City, Illinois.
Attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Illinois,
graduated in 1985 with a B.A. in political science; Attended St. Louis
University School of Law, graduated in 1988 with a J.D. Work history
includes private practice for 20 years, Provisional Judge for the
Municipal Court of St. Louis City from 2001 until 2008, and Adjunct
Professor for Fontbonne University OPTIONS program from 2007 until 2008.
Member of Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association
(MMACJA); Ex Officio Board Member of Lawyers for Kids; and Member of
Women Lawyers’ Association. Appointed as an Associate Circuit
Judge by Governor Matt Blunt, November 25, 2008.
