Angela Turner Quigless
Born:
January 4, 1960, Miami, Florida. Undergraduate
degree: B.A., University of Missouri-Columbia, 1981. Law Degree: J.D., St. Louis University School of Law, 1984.
Appointed by Governor Bob Holden as the Circuit Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit of the City
of St. Louis on Friday January 03, 2003. Previously appointed by Governor Mel Carnahan as an Associate
Circuit Judge on February 28, 1995. Prior to her appointment as an Associate Circuit Judge, she served as an Assistant
U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri; an Assistant City Counselor and Assistant
Circuit Attorney for the City of St. Louis. She also was a State's Attorney for the Missouri Public Service Commission
and the Missouri Department of Revenue. She is admitted to practice before the Missouri Bar and the United States
District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Judge Quigless is a member and was elected in 1994
to the Board of Governors of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) and served until 1997.
From 1992-1996 she served on the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section Council. She is a member of the
American Bar Association, Mound City Bas Association, Women Lawyer's Association, National Association of Women
Judges, the Lawyers' Association, and the American Judicature Society. In addition, she has served on
various committees and task forces within her legal affiliations. Judge Quigless is also an active member of her
community and serves on various boards such as: Board for Sherwood Forest Camp and PIAS Counseling
Advisory Board. She assists with the Griffin Center's "Back Pack Em To School" program, Mentor for Mentor St. Louis,
has co-chaired Mound City Bar Explorers Post and assisted in the Stand Down Project for homeless people and veterans.
Judge Quigless is married to Dr. Charles R. Quigless, Jr., June 28, 1997. They have one child, Charles
Quigless III.
Term expires December 31, 2012.
