The Missouri judiciary has implemented a new technology system - coined "the Missouri eFiling System" - that allows registered users to file case documents electronically with the courts and to view those documents at nearly any time. The goal of the system is to enable attorneys and court clerks to work more efficiently by reducing the time and effort they spend managing case files, which ultimately will save them time, money and resources. The Supreme Court of Missouri and the 11th Judicial Circuit (St. Charles County) were the first two courts to implement the electronic filing system, followed by the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District and the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District is scheduled to implement electronic filing June 4, 2012.
