37.71. Trial De Novo - Right - Time
(
a
) An application for trial de novo shall be filed as provided by law. No judge may order an extension of time for filing or perfecting an application for trial de novo.
(
b
) An application for trial de novo shall not be granted after the defendant satisfies any part of the penalty and costs of the judgment, unless costs were paid after imposition of sentence was originally suspended.
