Circuit Probate Case information is available for all public cases that were converted from the previous automated system or entered in to the courts case management system (JIS) on or after July 12, 2004. If you are attempting to search for a probate case filed prior to July 12, 2004 and it is not in Case.net, please call the General Information number for St. Louis County Court 314-615-2629, or inquire at the St. Louis County Courthouse, Circuit Probate Division, in St. Louis County, Missouri.

On May 1, 2009, the Probate Division consolidated under the St. Louis County Circuit Court location.

If you are searching for a probate case that was filed between July 12, 2004 and May 1, 2009, you can select the 'Probate St. Louis County' location.

If you are searching for a probate case filed after May 1, 2009, you can select the 'St Louis County' location.

If you would like to search for cases in both locations, leave the location field set to 'All' and choose only the Case Type option of 'Probate'.

Circuit Civil, Associate Civil, and Domestic Relations

Circuit Civil, Associte Civil, and Domestic Relations case information is available for all public cases that were converted from the previous automated system, or filed on or after October 1, 2007. Most Associate and Circuit Civil Judgments entered prior to October 1, 2007 are included in Case.Net. If you believe a judgment was entered prior to October 1, 2007, and it is not on Case.net, you may review the judgment index, or inquire at the Civil Courts Bulding located in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Circuit and Associate Criminal

Criminal Traffic, Misdemeanor, Felony and DWI case information is available for all public cases that were converted from the previous automated system, or filed on or after June 4, 2007 and thereafter. Most criminal judgments entered prior to June 4, 2007 are included in Case.net. If you believe a judgment was entered prior to June 4, 2007, and is not in Case.net, you may review the judgment index or inquire Circuit Clerks office, at the Courts Building located in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Traffic

Traffic tickets and infraction case information is available for all public cases that were converted from the previous automated system, or filed on or after June 4, 2007. Most judgments entered prior to June 4, 2007 are included in Case.net. If you believe a judgment was entered prior to June 4, 2007 you may review the judgment index, or inquire at the Associate Clerks Office located at the Civil Courts Building located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Missouri Electronic Filing System

Effective January 1, 2012, electronic records are viewable at the public access terminal at the court house. Case records in St Louis County are available electronically for the above referenced case types beginning March 31, 2014. Contact the court for the availability of electronic records prior to this date or exclusions in the above referenced case types.

Case Numbering

All Probate cases filed after July 12, 2004, all Criminal cases filed after June 4, 2007, and all Civil cases filed after October 1, 2007 will be assigned a new JIS case number. Traffic cases use the actual traffic ticket number. Each circuit using the new JIS system is assigned a block of case numbers per circuit. The block of numbers for the 22nd circuit is 500,000 to 599,999. Therefore, all new cases in JIS will have the following information in the case number format:

Case Type CV- Civil, CR-Criminal, PR-Probate etc.
6-digit sequential case number in the range assigned to the circuit.
