Court Operating Rule (COR) 10 | Court of Appeals Budget Committee

COR 010.01 | Membership and Chairman

The Court of Appeals Budget Committee shall be comprised of seven members. Two members shall be selected from and by each district of the Court of Appeals to serve for such term as each district shall designate. For the year 1983 the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, Eastern District, shall serve as the seventh member of the Committee and as its chairman. In 1984, the then Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, Western District, and in 1985, the then Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, Southern District, shall so serve, and thereafter each year in the same rotation succeeding Chief Judges shall so serve.

COR 010.02 | Powers and Duties

(a) The Committee shall submit budget recommendations to this Court for each of the districts of the Court of Appeals. The recommendations shall include all court salaries and operating expenses authorized by law to be paid by the State of Missouri.

(b) The Committee may submit recommendations to this Court for such uniform personnel policies and procedures as it deems necessary and proper for the operation of the Court of Appeals.

(c) The Committee may draft and adopt by-laws governing its operations.

(d) The Committee may appoint subcommittees to aid in the operation of the Committee.

COR 010.03 | Requests for Information

All judges, clerks, and other court personnel shall comply with requests for information by the Committee in the performance of its duties as set forth in sections 10.01 and 10.02 of this Rule.

COR 010.04 | Staff

Staff assistance for the Committee and necessary travel expenses for Committee meetings to prepare recommendations to be submitted shall be provided by the Office of State Courts Administrator.
