Case.net Public Inquiry
Case.net is the Missouri Judiciary's case information portal. Missouri Court Operating Rule 2 governs public access to the records of the judicial department. Case.net allows Internet access to cases filed in Missouri that have been deemed public information. Only case information from the statewide case management system is available through Case.net. The information is contained in a group of databases, organized by Supreme Court, Eastern Appellate, Southern Appellate, Western Appellate and individual circuit courts.
Benefits of Case.net include:
- Not limited to traditional work hours
- Remote access: Do not have to travel to the court to research cases(s)
- Real time access to most court information
- Search across all participating circuits
- No fees beyond Internet charges
- For the courts, reduced phone and in-person inquiries
- Allows public users to find their cases and use Pay By Web to pay court costs and fees
Court Operating Rule 2:
Court Operating Rule 2 allows access to the following electronic public indexes: Case number, File date, Party name, Calendar date and Judgment Against.

Civil cases:
- Active Attorneys' addresses
- Active Attorneys' names
- Future Pending Calendar dates
- Case number
- Case type
- Year of birth
- Disposition type
- Docket entries
- File date
- Garnishments or Executions
- Trial judge assigned
- Trial judge at disposition
- Judgment/appellate decision
- Judgment/appellate date
- Party address
- Party name and type
- Satisfaction of Judgment
- Change of Venue information (if applicable)
Paternity cases:
- Attorneys' names
- Attorneys' addresses
- Party name (Litigant) and type
- Judgments
Paternity information is not available until a judgment of paternity is rendered.
Adult & Child Protection Order cases:
Will display similar to civil cases if a judgment for full order is entered. If the exact Case Number is known it can be entered in the Case Number Search to return case information. However, the Petitioners name, address and other identifying information will not appear.

Accessing Case.net
Users can access the Case.net web page by typing https//www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do in the address field of their browser or by clicking the Case.net link available on the Missouri Courts home page, https//www.courts.mo.gov. The information available on Case.net is provided as a service and is not considered an official court record.
Note: Remember that Case.net will only return information open to the public.
Case.net is best viewed with a screen resolution of 800x600. To view or change the resolution, access the Control Panel, Display Properties and verify the desktop area is 800x600. This software is tested using Approved Infrastructure Standard published at www.courts.mo.gov. Click the Statewide Court Automation link. Printer default should be set to 1/2" margins.

To access court case information, the user first selects a search method and then enters the specific criteria based on the method selected. The six search methods are:
- Litigant Name Search
- Filing Date Search
- Case Number Search
- Scheduled Hearings & Trials Search
- Judgment Index Search
- Pay By Web
On the Welcome Page, there are two ways to access the search methods:
Click on one of the search methods OR select one of the methods from the Search for Cases by drop down menu. From any page of Case.net, the user can select a different search method by selecting a search method from the drop down menu.
