Circuit Judge Benjamin J. Miller, appointed by Governor Michael Parson in August 2024, presides over civil, criminal, and family court cases. Before joining the bench, Judge Miller was the Prosecuting Attorney for Callaway County, specializing in child sexual and physical abuse cases. Before being elected as the Prosecuting Attorney for Callaway County, Judge Miller also served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Callaway County and Christian County, and as a resource prosecutor for the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services. Prior to law school, Judge Miller taught high school history and middle school social studies.
During his time as a prosecutor, Judge Miller was a highly sought after lecturer and has presented to countless organizations both statewide and nationally in the areas of trial practice, child sexual and physical abuse, case management and technology, alternative dispute resolution, and ethics.
He earned his law degree from Regent University School of Law, where he was Student Bar Association Executive President and Director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Judge Miller lives in Holts Summit with his wife Allison and their two children. He is actively involved in his church worship ministry and the local theater community, both as a performer and director.
