13th Judicial Circuit of Missouri

Judge Jayne Pearman was appointed to the 13th Judicial Circuit in December of 2024. Judge Pearman's docket includes Associate Civil, Small Claims, Adult Abuse, Mental Health, Criminal Arraignments and Paternity dockets.

Judge Pearman graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1981 with a degree in Accounting, Cum Laude. Judge Pearman graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1984 with the Order of the Coif distinction.

Prior to her appointment, Judge Pearman spent the first thirteen (13) years of her career in private practice focusing on civil defense litigation. The last twenty-seven (27) years of her practice were spent in the area of Family Law and related matters.

Judge Pearman grew up in Columbia MO and then spent thirty-seven (37) years practicing law in the Kansas City area until returning to Columbia in 2021. She has lived on a farm for over 25 years enjoying her horses, a donkey, dogs, cats, chickens and peacocks.
