Index of Opinions from Commission on Retirement, Removal and Discipline

Disciplinary Opinions

The Commission on Retirement, Removal and Discipline occasionally is called upon to issue advisory opinions interpreting the code of judicial conduct in the context of a particular ethical question. These opinions have been posted in a searchable format in this section of the Court Information Center and indexed. When an opinion discusses a prior version of the code, the opinion has been cross-referenced to provisions in the current code that could be implicated.

The index below lists the opinions in reverse chronological order (with each opinion number linked to the opinion), or you may search opinions by keyword. For your convenience, cross-references are provided in red in both the index below and in headings at the top of opinions. This heading is not part of the official opinion.

NOTE: There are some opinion numbers intentionally missing in the index. The commission numbers opinions at the time of a request. Some requests do not result in an issued opinion, while other opinions subsequently are withdrawn.
