21st circuit commission announces demographics, interviewees for Beach associate circuit judge vacancy in St. Louis County

Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 10.28(d), the Commission releases the following information relating to applicants for the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Douglas R. Beach: 40 applicants, 12 women, 28 men, two minorities, 38 non-minorities, 26 presently employed in the private sector and 14mpresently employed in the public sector. The applicants' mean age is 49.

Also pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the commission announces it will interview three new applicants: Daniel P. Boyle, Ronald D. Kwentus Jr. and Jeffrey T. Weisman. The remaining 37 applicants were previously interviewed for the recent vacancies created by the retirement of the Hon. Larry Kendrick and the appointment of the Hon. Gary Gaertner Jr. to the Missouri Court of Appeals, and those applicants will not be re-interviewed.

The commission will meet beginning at approximately 9 a.m. June 25 at the St. Louis County Library to select three nominees from this applicant pool for the governor’s consideration.

The members of the Twenty-First Judicial Circuit Commission are: Chief Judge Kenneth M. Romines, Deborah Champion, Patrick Dudley, Laurie Westfall and Richard Wuestling IV.
