Detention Wing
If your child's legal status has been determined to be detention, he/she will remain on the Detention Wing of the facility until further ordered by the court. There are certain rules and expectations of youth on the detention wing that are explained in the Detention Services Orientation Manual. Your child will be given a copy of this manual and will participate in a resident orientation program upon their admission to the facility.
Program Wing
If your child's legal status has been determined to be placement at the Robert L. Perry Juvenile Justice Center, he/she will remain on the Program Wing until their disposition hearing. There are certain rules and expectations of youth on the program wing that are explained in the Program Services Orientation Manual. Your child will be given a copy of this manual and will participate in a resident orientation program upon their placement on the program wing.
Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)
The Robert L. Perry Juvenile Justice Center complies with the Prison Rape Elimination Act and is committed to a zero tolerance standard for incidents of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Your child will be given a copy of this manual upon their arrival to the facility.
