Jasper County judge talks with local students about their court system
3 March 2023
CARTHAGE, Mo. – A group of about 20 students from the Association of Christian Home School Families got a first-hand view of their government at work today. While visiting the Jasper County courthouse, they had an opportunity to meet with Associate Circuit Judge John Nicholas and learn about the type of work he does every day in his courtroom.
He explained how the local court system works and answered the students' questions. His visit with the students is part of an ongoing effort by judges throughout the state to help students and adults alike better understand what judges do and the courts' role in our system of government.
