Victim Rights Subcommittee
The Victim Rights Subcommittee identifies stakeholders in victim rights; if victims and witnesses are being afforded their rights guaranteed through statute; and ways to reduce the financial, mental and emotional impact the system has on them while affording due process rights to the accused. The subcommittee determines if statute or rules changes are needed; if investigations are conducted in a trauma informed approach; and if current practices provide adequate education about the criminal justice system for victims and witnesses.
