21st circuit commission releases demographic, interviewee, meeting information for Hartenbach vacancy in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS -- Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 10.28(d), the 21st Circuit Judicial Commission releases the following information relating to applicants for the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge James R. Hartenbach: 37 applicants, 13 women, 24 men, 6 minority, 31 non-minorities, 16 presently employed in the private sector and 21 presently employed in the public sector. The applicants' mean age is 52.

Also pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the commission announces it will interview all 37 applicants. The applicants are:

The commission will send a written questionnaire to each applicant. The completed questionnaires must be returned to the commissioners no later than Dec. 5, 2011.

The commission will meet beginning at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 19 and 20, 2011, in the Division 15 Courtroom on the third floor of the St. Louis County Courthouse in Clayton to conduct public interviews to select three nominees from this applicant pool for the governor’s consideration. The public is invited to attend and observe the interviews.
