Requests for criminal history or background checks must be directed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Criminal Team does not provide general information about criminal history, case status, or perform individual background checks. The Missouri State Highway Patrol maintains the central repository for the state and collects information from all law enforcement agencies, prosecutorial agencies, and courts statewide.
We can assist with general questions about court procedures, provide court-approved forms, and inform you about court services and community resources. However, we cannot offer legal advice, including guidance on whether to file a case, what language to use in court documents, how to present your case, or predictions about court outcomes. We can help you find information on understanding your legal rights and obtaining legal representation.
Requests for verification of information pertaining to date of birth and social security numbers will not be given out verbally and will require an in-person visit to the Circuit Clerk's Office due to Missouri Supreme Court Rule #2.
