SPRINGFIELD, MO – The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, has announced plans to convene at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar for a special session of court on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. The special session will begin at 10 a.m. at Meyer Recital Hall, in the Geneva Casebolt Music Center. The event is open to the public.
The session will begin with an introduction by Chief Judge Jeffrey Bates, after which court will be called to order and a three-judge panel will hear attorneys’ oral arguments in an appeal from the Cedar County circuit court. The judges for the oral arguments will be Judge Nancy Steffen Rahmeyer, Judge Daniel Scott and Judge William Francis. Judge Scott will preside. Oral arguments are expected to last approximately 35 minutes.
