ST. LOUIS – Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 10.28(d), the 21st Circuit Judicial Commission releases the following information relating to applicants for the circuit judge vacancy created by the retirement of Judge James R. Hartenbach: 37 applicants, 13 women, 24 men, six minority, 31 non-minorities, 16 presently employed in the private sector and 21 presently employed in the public sector. The applicants' mean age is 52.

The commission will send a written questionnaire to each applicant. The completed questionnaires must be returned to the commissioners no later than December 5, 2011.
The commission will meet beginning at 8:30 a.m. December 19 and 20, 2011, in the Division 15 Courtroom on the third floor of the St. Louis County Courthouse in Clayton to conduct public interviews to select three nominees from this applicant pool for the governor’s consideration. The public is invited to attend and observe the interviews. The commission will convene at 1 p.m. December 21, 2011, at The Boardroom of Peoples National Bank, 7600 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton, Missouri, 63105, to select the three-member panel to be forwarded to Governor Nixon for his consideration.
