7th circuit commission releases demographic, interviewee, meeting information for Norris associate circuit judge vacancy in Clay County

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the Seventh Circuit Judicial Commission announces the following demographic information relating to applicants for the associate circuit judge vacancy on the Clay County Circuit Court created by the retirement of the Honorable Donald Norris in Division 6.

There are 16 applicants for the vacancy. Three of those applicants are women, and 13 are men. There is one minority applicant and 15 non-minority applicants. Eleven applicants work in the private sector, four work in the public sector, and one works in both sectors. The mean age of all applicants is 46.

Also pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the commission announces it will interview all 16 applicants. Their names are:

The commission will meet to interview the applicants on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, in the Clay County Courthouse in Liberty, Mo., beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at approximately 5 p.m.  The public may attend and observe the interviews. At the conclusion of the interviews, the commission will meet to select a panel of three names to send to the governor.
