16th circuit commission releases demographic, meeting information for Clark circuit judge vacancy in Jackson County

Kansas City, Mo. — Pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the Sixteenth Circuit Judicial Commission announces the following demographic information relating to applicants for the vacancy on the Jackson County Circuit Court created by the impending retirement of Judge Thomas C. Clark on August 26, 2008.

There are 20 applicants for the vacancy.  Six of those applicants are women, and 14 are men.  There are seven minority applicants and 13 non-minority applicants.  Seven applicants work in the private sector, 13 work in the public sector.

Pursuant to Rule 10.22(c), the commission announces also announces it will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, 1300 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri, to select three nominees for the impending Clark vacancy on the Jackson County circuit court.
