Appellate Judicial Commission releases demographic information regarding Limbaugh vacancy on Supreme Court of Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the Appellate Judicial Commission announces the following demographic information relating to applicants for the vacancy on the Supreme Court of Missouri created by the departure of Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr., who is being appointed as a judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri:

There are 23 applicants for the vacancy. Five of these applicants are women, and 18 are men. There are six minority applicants and 17 non-minority applicants. Six applicants work in the private sector, 16 work in the public sector and one works in both. The applicants' mean age is 53.5.
