7th circuit commission announces nominees for Davis circuit judge vacancy in Clay County

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Seventh Circuit Judicial Commission has met and selected a panel of three nominees for the circuit judge vacancy in Division 3 of the Clay County circuit court created by the retirement of Judge K. Elizabeth Davis. The nominees are: 

Louis Angles – associate circuit judge, Division 7, Clay County circuit court in Liberty.

Calan T. McConkey – attorney, McConkey & Bowen LLC in Excelsior Springs.

Alisha D. O'Hara – associate circuit judge, Division 5, Clay County circuit court in Liberty.

The commission has submitted the panel to Governor Michael L. Parson, who will have 60 days to appoint one of the nominees as circuit judge for Division 3. Pursuant to Rule 10.29, the commission announces each nominee received five votes.

The commission is chaired by Chief Judge Cynthia L. Martin of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, and is composed of attorneys Kate Noland and James Thompson Jr. and lay members Lisa Essig and Noel Shull.
