In re:
Adoption of new Court Operating Rule 24, entitled “Court of Appeals Election Panels.”
ORDER
1. Pursuant to article V, sections 4 and 5 of the Missouri Constitution, and to effectuate the provisions of section 115.024, RSMo Supp. 2007, the following rule, to be known as Court Operating Rule 24, entitled “Court of Appeals Election Panels,” is hereby adopted.

- 24.01 Selection of Election Panel

(a) In each district of the court of appeals an election panel, as prescribed by section 115.024, RSMo Supp. 2007, is hereby created. The panel in each district shall be composed of the chief judge and the two active judges of the district who have served the longest continuous time as a judge on the court and are available to consider the petition immediately.

(b) The right to appeal provided to the election commission under section 115.024 may be had by filing a petition for writ of mandamus in this Court. The petition shall be expedited.
2. It is ordered that notice of this order be published in the Journal of The Missouri Bar.
3. It is ordered that this order be published in the South Western Reporter.
4. The state courts administrator shall provide copies of this order to each chief judge of the court of appeals and such other persons the administrator deems appropriate.
