In re:

Repeal of subdivision (a) and subdivision (d) of subdivision 14.09, entitled "Continuing Education, Accreditation of Programs and Activities," of Rule 14, entitled "Certified Court Reporters," and in lieu thereof adoption of new subdivisions (a) and (d) of subdivision 14.09, entitled "Continuing Education, Accreditation of Programs and Activities."

1.  It is ordered that effective January 1, 2004, subdivisions (a) and (d) of subdivision 14.09 of Rule 14 be and the same are hereby repealed and a new subdivision (a) and a new subdivision (b) of subdivision 14.09 adopted in lieu thereof to read as follows:

14.09  CONTINUING EDUCATION, ACCREDITATION OF PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

(a) Each certified court reporter shall complete during each reporting year at least ten credit hours of continuing education from programs accredited by the board. A reporting year shall be from July 1 of each year through June 30 of the following year.

 (d) Continuing education programs for court reporters shall be developed, reviewed and accredited by the board.  The court reporter education committee is an accredited sponsor for such programs.

2.  It is ordered that notice of this order be published in the Journal of The Missouri Bar.

3.  It is ordered that this order be published in the South Western Reporter.
