ORDER
The Chief Disciplinary Counsel having filed an information and motion for reciprocal discipline pursuant to Rule 5.20 advising this Court of its findings, after investigation, that Respondent was suspended for a period of eighteen months from the practice of law in the State of Illinois by the order of the Illinois Supreme Court dated May 18, 2016, in case number M.R. 27986, entitled In re: Edward Dorsey; and
Said discipline was the result of conduct that violated the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct and said conduct is a violation of Rules 4-1.15(a), 4-1.15(d), 4-1.15(f) and 4-8.4(c) of the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct; and
On March 17, 2017, this Court issued an order to show cause to Respondent and Respondent filed a response to the same; and
Thereafter, this Court ordered the cause to be briefed and said cause was submitted on the brief of Informant on October 3, 2017;
This Court finds that Respondent has violated the Rules of Professional Conduct and should be disciplined;
Now, therefore, it is ordered by this Court that the motion for reciprocal discipline is sustained and that Edward Dorsey is hereby suspended from the practice of law in the State of Missouri with said suspension having an effective date of January 8, 2017, and that no application for reinstatement shall be entertained by this Court for a period of one year from January 8, 2017.
It is further ordered that Respondent comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 – Procedure Following a Disbarment or Suspension Order.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
