ST. LOUIS – The Twenty-Second Circuit Judicial Commission announces the panel of three nominees to be submitted to Governor Eric Greitens to fill the associate circuit judge vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Timothy Boyer to the circuit court in the city of St. Louis.
Those nominated by the commission are:
Madeline Connolly – Connolly graduated from Valparaiso University in 2006 and from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009. She is currently an attorney at Tucker Ellis.
Craig Higgins – Higgins graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1988 and from Drake University Law School in 1991. He is currently an associate city counselor in the St. Louis city counselor’s office.
Patrick Monahan – Monahan graduated from Saint Louis University in 1994 and from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1997. He is currently an assistant prosecuting attorney in the St. Louis County prosecutor’s office.
Craig Higgins – Higgins graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1988 and from Drake University Law School in 1991. He is currently an associate city counselor in the St. Louis city counselor’s office.
Patrick Monahan – Monahan graduated from Saint Louis University in 1994 and from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1997. He is currently an assistant prosecuting attorney in the St. Louis County prosecutor’s office.
The commission conducted one day of public hearings and interviewed 27 applicants. The commission believes these candidates, chosen from a field of extremely qualified individuals, possess those qualities essential to the fair and efficient administration of justice. The commission is confident any of these individuals is capable of serving well and honorably if selected by the governor. Pursuant to Supreme Court of Missouri Rule 10.29, the commission reports the final votes received by each nominee were: Connolly received five votes, Higgins received five votes and Monahan received five votes.
The members of the Twenty-Second Circuit Judicial Commission are: Judge James M. Dowd, chief judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District; Rita Burlison, Brent Dulle, Andre Harris and Bryan J. Sanger.
