In re: Nicholas Anthony Franke, MBE # 37402
ORDER
Whereas, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel filed an information and motion for interim suspension informing the Court that Respondent, Nicholas Anthony Franke, pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in violation of 26 U.S.C. Section 7201 in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Eastern Division, in case no. 4:20-CR-352-HEA and the Court having considered the said information; and
An order to show cause why Respondent should not be suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 5.21(b) was issued by this Court on July 13, 2021, and Respondent did not file a response to the same;
It is ordered that Respondent, Nicholas Anthony Franke, be and he is hereby suspended from the practice of law pending the final disposition of any disciplinary proceeding based upon such conviction or misconduct that resulted in said conviction.
It is further ordered that Respondent immediately advise this Court when disposition of appeals, if any, shall become final.
It is further ordered that Respondent, Nicholas Anthony Franke, comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 – Procedure Following a Disbarment or Suspension Order.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
