Updated 6 May 2025 with new opening date for 6th circuit commission election
Beginning next week, voting opens for attorneys eligible under Rule 10 to vote in special elections for lawyer members of three circuit judicial commissions. Specifically, voting opens:
- Tuesday, May 6 for the special election for the 7th Circuit Judicial Commission (Clay County);
- Wednesday, May 14 for the special election for the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission (St. Louis city); and
- Thursday, May 15 for the special election for the 6th Circuit Judicial Commission (Platte County).
Voting eligibility is determined by an attorney’s county of residence. Questions about the elections should be directed to the local circuit clerk for each election.
Links to each election portal can be found on the Judicial Vacancies page. Voting in all three elections closes at midnight Tuesday, June 3.
