In re: Roy King, Jr., MBE No. 35005

ORDER

Now at this day, the Court being sufficiently advised of and concerning the premises and said cause having been fully briefed and argued, the Court finds that Respondent, Roy King, Jr., Missouri Bar No. 35005, violated Rule 4-1.1 by failing to provide competent representation to a client. The Court further finds that Respondent violated Rule 4-1.4 by his failure to keep his client informed regarding the status of the client’s case. The Court further finds that Respondent violated Rule 4-8.4(d) due to Respondent’s use of profane language and fighting with his client in public.

In accordance with previous disciplinary decisions of this Court, Respondent’s license is suspended with no leave to apply for reinstatement for a period of one year from the date of this order.  The suspension is stayed pursuant to Rule 5.225 and Respondent is placed on probation for one year under the additional terms and conditions set forth in the decision of the Disciplinary Hearing Panel filed herein.

Fee pursuant to Rule 5.19(h) in the amount of $1,000.00 payable to the Clerk of this Court to the credit of the Advisory Committee fund taxed to Respondent.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
