Note: Ms. Rukcic was reinstated, with probation, by Court order dated October 29, 2013.


ORDER

Petitioner, Shirley Rukcic, having filed in this Court a motion to voluntarily surrender her license to practice law in this state together with having tendered her license to practice law to the Clerk of this Court; and

Petitioner having pleaded guilty to Count I of a superseding indictment to knowingly and intentionally distributing and possessing with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1) in the case of United States of America v. Luis M. Palacios, et al., Case No. S2-4:05CR00306 JCH; and

The Court having received the Chief Disciplinary Counsel’s report and recommendation, which advised that Petitioner has engaged in conduct that violated Rule 4-8.4(b) of the Rules of Professional Conduct; and

The Court, thus advised and concurring that Petitioner has engaged in conduct that violates Rule 4-8.4(b) of the Rules of Professional Conduct, now orders that the surrender of the license of Shirley Rukcic be accepted and that said license be cancelled.

It is further ordered that the name of Shirley Rukcic be stricken from the roll of attorneys in this state, that she be disbarred, and that her right and license to practice law in this state is hereby terminated.

It is further ordered that the said Shirley Rukcic comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 - Notification of Clients and Counsel.

Costs taxed to Petitioner.
