ORDER>

Now on this day, the Court having considered the statement of acceptance of the Disciplinary Hearing Panel decision pursuant to Rule 5.19(c), the Court finds that Respondent, Michael W. Blum, Missouri Bar Number 47278, violated: (a) Rule 4-1.15(c) by failing to deposit client funds into his client trust account; (b) Rule 4-8.1(c) by failing to respond to a request for information from a disciplinary authority; (c) Rule 4-1.8(e) by providing financial assistance to a client in connection with pending litigation; (d) Rule 4-1.15(c) by commingling his own funds with client funds; (e) Rule 4-1.3 by failing to act diligently; (f) Rule 4-1.4 by failing to adequately communicate with his client by not returning phone calls or responding to letters; and (g) Rule 4-1.16 by not withdrawing from representation when discharged and failing to return files to the client when files were requested.

In accordance with previous decisions of this Court, Respondent is suspended from the practice of law for one year, with the suspension stayed and Respondent placed on probation as provided in Rule 5.225 for a period of two years from the date of this order. The conditions of probation shall be those set forth in the “First Amended Terms and Conditions of Probation” filed herein.

Fee pursuant to Rule 5.19(h) in the amount of $1000.00 payable to the Clerk of this Court to the credit of the Advisory Committee Fund taxed to Respondent.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
