In re: Jan P. Helder, Jr.

ORDER

WHEREAS, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel has filed an Information informing the Court that Respondent, Jan P. Helder, Jr., was found guilty of one felony count of attempt to entice a minor into engaging in unlawful sexual activity in violation of 18 U.S.C. Section 2422(b) in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri in Case No. 05-00125-01-CR-W-DW, and the Court having considered said information; and

An order to show cause why Respondent should not be suspended from the practice of law having been issued by this Court on October 5, 2006, returnable to the Court on October 20, 2006, and Respondent having filed no response thereto;

It is ordered pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 5.21(a), that Respondent, Jan P. Helder, Jr., be, and he is hereby suspended from the practice of law pending the final disposition of any disciplinary proceeding based upon such conviction or misconduct that resulted in said conviction.

It is further ordered that Respondent immediately advise this Court when disposition of any appeal shall have become final.

It is further ordered that Jan P. Helder, Jr., comply in all respect with Rule 5.27 - Notification of clients and counsel.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
