In re: William R. Merryman, MBE No. 26302
ORDER
WHEREAS, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel having filed an information for interim suspension pursuant to Rules 5.23(b) and 5.24(a) informing the Court that Respondent, William R. Merryman, has been charged with three class D felonies, that he is currently incarcerated, and that his application for an order of successful completion of disciplinary probation contained false information, and, in addition, advising of discrepancies regarding Respondent’s trust account; and
The Chief Disciplinary Counsel having also filed a motion for expedited ruling on the information for interim suspension; and
Rule 5.26 permitting the presiding judge in a judicial circuit to appoint a trustee; and
The Court being fully advised in the premises;
It is ordered that Informant’s motion for expedited ruling on the information for interim suspension is sustained. Respondent, William R. Merryman, is hereby suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Rule 5.24(a) pending the final disposition of any disciplinary proceeding based upon such charges or misconduct.
It is further ordered that Respondent, William R. Merryman, immediately advise this Court when disposition of any criminal charges shall have become final.
It is further ordered that Respondent, William R. Merryman, comply in all respect with Rule 5.27 - Notification of clients and counsel.
Informant may seek appointment of a Trustee pursuant to Rule 5.26.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
