Offender Data

Each fiscal year, the Missouri Department of Corrections compiles detailed statistics about its offender population. The purpose of this data compilation is to answer many of the questions the public, the legislature and others in the criminal justice system ask about offenders the department is supervising. This includes not only offenders in the department’s institutions but also those on probation or parole.

Over time, the department has streamlined its reporting metrics to make them consistent with federally tracked categories and to simplify categorization of multiple codes for similar offenses. It also has begun providing more visual elements to help give context to the data.
