General Information about Incarceration and Supervision

Led by Director Trevor Foley, the Missouri Department of Corrections is responsible for both incarceration and supervision of offenders.

Through both responsibilities, the department works to ensure safety by fostering rehabilitation, treatment and education to help offenders contribute to their communities, as about 96 percent of all offenders who enter Missouri prisons ultimately are released back into the state's local communities.
