In Re: Michael R. Fletcher, MBE #47495

ORDER

The Chief Disciplinary Counsel having filed an information and motion for discipline pursuant to Rule 5.20 advising this Court of its finding, after investigation, that Respondent, Michael R. Fletcher had been suspended from the practice of law in the United States District for the Western District of Missouri pursuant to the order of that Court in Case No.03-272-D, entitled In Re: Michael R. Fletcher, issued on May 18, 2004; and

Said discipline was the result of conduct that violated Rules 4-4.4, 4-8.4(c) and 4-3.3(a) of the Rules of Professional Conduct, and

On July 1, 2004, this Court issued a show cause order to Respondent; and

This Court sustained Respondent’s motion to hold in abeyance allowing Respondent to file a response to show cause order upon conclusion of the appeal of the order of discipline issued by the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri; and

Respondent’s answer to show cause order and answer to information and motion for discipline were thereafter filed on May 16, 2006.

The Court finds that Respondent has violated the Rules of Professional Conduct and should be disciplined;

Now, therefore, it is ordered by the Court that the motion for discipline is sustained and that Respondent, Michael R. Fletcher, is suspended from the practice of law in this state and that no application for reinstatement shall be entertained by this Court until Respondent has been reinstated to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

It is further ordered that the Respondent, Michael R. Fletcher, comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 - Notification of Clients and Counsel.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
