In re: Richard E. Monroe, MBE No. 27297
ORDER
The Chief Disciplinary Counsel having filed an information and motion for reciprocal
discipline pursuant to Rule 5.20 advising this Court of its finding, after investigation, that Respondent, Richard E. Monroe, was stricken from the roll of attorneys authorized to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit pursuant to the order of that Court
in Case No. 11-3321, United States of America v. Roberto Rodriguez, issued on August 21, 2013;
Said discipline was the result of conduct that violated Rules 4-1.3, 4-3.2 and 4-8.4(d) of the Rules of Professional Conduct; and
On October 30, 2012, this Court issued a show cause order to Respondent and Respondent did not file a response to the same;
The Court finds that Respondent has violated the Rules of Professional Conduct and should be disciplined;
Now, therefore, it is ordered by the Court that Respondent, Richard E. Monroe, is suspended from the practice of law and that no application for reinstatement shall be entertained by this Court for a period of six months from the date of this order unlike in In re: Richard Elmus
Monroe, No. SC93041, the suspension is not stayed.
It is further ordered that the Respondent, Richard E. Monroe comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 - Notification of Clients and Counsel.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
