Note: Clampitt was disbarred May 17, 2013.


ORDER

WHEREAS, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel has filed an information and motion for interim suspension informing the Court that Respondent, James Arthur Clampitt, has been convicted of two felonies in Chariton County Circuit Court Case No. 10CHCR00188 and the Court having considered the said information; and

An order to show cause why Respondent should not be suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 5.21(a) was issued by this Court on March 1, 2013, and Respondent filed a response thereto;

It is ordered that Respondent, James Arthur Clampitt, be and he is hereby suspended from the practice of law pending the final disposition of any disciplinary proceeding based upon such convictions or misconduct that resulted in said convictions.

It is further ordered that Respondent immediately advise this Court when disposition of any appeal shall become final.

It is further ordered that James Arthur Clampitt comply in all respect with Rule 5.27-Procedure Following a Disbarment or Suspension Order.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
