ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Chief Justice Ronnie L. White today announced that, in response to requests from the legal community and the public at large, the Supreme Court of Missouri now has placed its Supreme Court Rules and Supreme Court Operating Rules on its website, www.courts.mo.gov. He made the announcement during the opening luncheon of the joint annual meeting of the Missouri Judicial Conference, the organization of all state judges, and The Missouri Bar.
"One message that we at the Court have heard loud and clear from you during the past few years is that the Supreme Court of Missouri put its rules online," White said. "Well, for all of you who made sure your voices were heard on this issue, I have some good news: Ask and you shall receive!"
White thanked staff at the Supreme Court and the Office of State Courts Administrator for their efforts toward putting the rules online. He also invited people to visit the Court's website and begin using the rules.
"I assure you that updating our website and maintaining our rules online will be an ongoing priority of mine -- and your feedback on how this new development is working will be vital to our continued success," White told the lawyers and judges present. "Give us your ideas about how to use technology and the Internet so we can continue to offer those things that will make a difference in the lives of those we serve."
White also noted that suggestions and requests from lawyers have been built into a new version of the Judiciary's award-winning court case information system, Case.net.
