In re:

Modification of subdivision (b) of subdivision 6.03, entitled "Election to Become Inactive," of Supreme Court Rule 6, entitled “Annual Enrollment Statement."


1.  By order of May 14, 1999, and order of September 21, 1999, this Court adopted a new subdivision (b) of Supreme Court Rule 6.03, entitled "Election to Become Inactive," of Supreme Court Rule 6, “Annual Enrollment,” to be effective January 1, 2000.  The Court hereby modifies subdivision 6.03(b) as it appears in said orders.  As modified, said subdivision shall become effective January 1, 2000, and shall read as follows:

6.03 ELECTION TO BECOME INACTIVE

*     *     *

(b) A lawyer recorded as inactive shall pay annually to the clerk of this Court a fee of $50.  The fee
shall be paid as provided in Rule 6.01(a), and the provisions of Rule 6.01(g) shall not apply.  At the time of paying the fee, the lawyer shall provide the clerk with a current mailing address. 

2.   It is ordered that notice of this order be published in the Journal of The Missouri Bar.

3.  It is ordered that this order be published in the South Western Reporter.
