Municipal Division of the Circuit Court

For cities that have a municipal division (commonly called a "municipal court"), municipal cases may be heard locally at the city's municipal court, at another city's municipal court if the city contracts with another city, or at the county courthouse in the associate division.

The municipal division of the circuit court has original jurisdiction to hear and determine municipal ordinance violations. For court-specific information, click the name of the municipality from the full list below. Information about the municipal divisions also can be found at Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association.
