Update: By order dated May 2, 2023, the Supreme Court of Missouri disbarred James Crabtree.
ORDER
Whereas, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel filed an information and motion for interim suspension informing the Court that Respondent, James I. Crabtree, pleaded guilty to violating 18 U.S.C. Section 242 and 18 U.S.C. Section 1001 in United States of America, Plaintiff, v. James Isaac Crabtree, Defendant, case no. 4:22-CR-219 SRC in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Eastern Division, and the Court having considered said information; and

An order to show cause why Respondent should not be suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 5.21(d) was issued by this Court on January 13, 2023, and Respondent did not file a response to the same;

It is ordered that Respondent, James I. Crabtree, is hereby suspended from the practice of law pending the final disposition of any disciplinary proceeding based upon such conviction or misconduct that resulted in said conviction.

It is further ordered that Respondent immediately advise this Court when disposition of appeals, if any, shall become final.

It is further ordered that Respondent, James I. Crabtree, comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 – Procedure Following a Disbarment or Suspension Order.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
