ORDER
Now at this day, the Court being sufficiently advised of and concerning the premises and having considered the Disciplinary Hearing Panel decision received by the Advisory Committee on January 28, 2009, as well as the statement of acceptance of the Disciplinary Hearing Panel decision pursuant to Rule 5.19(c), the Court finds that Respondent, Valencia Jealana Broadus, Missouri Bar number 47275, violated the following provisions of the Rules of Professional Conduct: Rules 4-1.1 (Competence), 4-1.3 (Diligence), 4-1.4 (Communication), 4-1.5(a) (Fees), 4-1.16(d) (Return of Property at Conclusion of Representation), and 4-8.1(c) (Failure to Cooperate with requests from Disciplinary Authority).
In accordance with previous decisions of this Court, the Court hereby suspends Valencia Jealana Broadus from the practice of law and no petition for reinstatement will be entertained for a period of six months from the date of this order.
It is further ordered that the Respondent, Valencia Jealana Broadus, comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 - Notification of Clients and Counsel.
Fee of $1,000.00 pursuant to Rule 5.19(h) assessed against Respondent payable to the Clerk of this Court for the benefit of the Advisory Committee Fund.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
Valencia Jealana Broadus, Petitioner, having filed a petition for reinstatement after nonpayment of tax in Supreme Court Case No. 90117, is hereby ordered to no longer be suspended for failure to pay tax pursuant to Rule 5.245.
