In re: Jan P. Helder, Jr., MBE # 39666

ORDER

The Chief Disciplinary Counsel having filed a motion for final discipline pursuant to Rule 5.21(c) advising this Court of its finding, after investigation, that Respondent, Jan P. Helder, Jr., was found guilty of one felony count of attempt to entice a minor into engaging in unlawful sexual activity in violation of 18 U.S.C. Section 2422(b) in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri in Case No. 05-00125-01-CR-W-DW, and that Respondent’s conviction is finally disposed for the purposes of Rule 5.21(c);

Respondent having previously been suspended from the practice of law in this State on an interim basis by order of the Court dated October 30, 2006, in Case No. SC88059;

The Court finds that Respondent is guilty of professional misconduct and should be disciplined;

Now, therefore, it is ordered by the Court that the said Jan P. Helder, Jr., be, and he is hereby disbarred, that his right and license to practice law in the State of Missouri is canceled and that his name be stricken from the roll of attorneys in this State.

It is further ordered that the said Jan P. Helder, Jr., comply in all respects with Rule 5.27 - Notification of Clients and Counsel.

Costs taxed to Respondent.
