In re: Stephen B. Evans, MBE No. 40305
ORDER
WHEREAS, the Chief Disciplinary Counsel has filed a motion for final discipline pursuant to Rule 5.21(c) informing the Court that Respondent, Stephen B. Evans, having previously been suspended on an interim basis on March 9, 2012, as the Court found he posed a substantial threat of irreparable harm to the public, pled guilty on January 29, 2013, to one count of mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. §1341 and one count of wire fraud in violation of 18. U.S.C. §1343 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri case no. 4:12-CR-00383-JCH entitled United States of America, Plaintiff, vs. Stephen B. Evans, Defendant, and said convictions are now final;
The Court finds that Respondent is guilty of professional misconduct and should be disciplined;
Now, therefore, it is ordered by the Court that the said Stephen B. Evans, be, and he is hereby disbarred, that his right and license to practice law in the State of Missouri is canceled and that his name be stricken from the roll of attorneys in this State.
It is further ordered that the said Stephen B. Evans comply in all respects with 5.27 – Procedure Following a Disbarment or Suspension order.
Costs taxed to Respondent.
