Embedding a Seal/Image
When updating local forms in JIS for use in SMC, any images used such as the state seal or court seal need to be embedded in the form.

- Right click, choose "Save link as," and save the file to a drive on your computer: Missouri State Seal | Circuit Court Seal
- Open JIS.
- Go to CZRLVAR and type in the letter code of the local form, tab and Ctrl/Pg Down to display variables.
- Select Create/Alter Template from navigation pane on left of screen.
- Once this process is complete, Edit Template will become available to select.
- Local form will open in Word for editing.
- If you double click on the seal/image and it opens in another window, then it is not embedded. Delete this image.
- Select Insert > Pictures (locate the image/seal from the saved location on your computer) and then select Insert.
- Resize to fit the area on form and make any other needed adjustments.
- Double click on the seal/image to ensure it is now embedded in the document.
- Repeat for all seals/images on the form.
- Save and close document.
